"it's my guatemalan-ess. it's my natural heat." my banana that i brought into work today had a sticker on it. it's a chiquita banana from guatemala and i thought of that quote from the birdcage. *sighs* im sorry. well to be perfectly honest, im dragging major ass today. so so tired. erica and i went to the phantom planet concert last night. it was a strange show. i won the tickets through the radio but ive only ever heard one of their songs. well, the first thing that was strange about it was that this is the first show in almost a year that didnt have an acoustic guitar. it was weird. really weird. i forgot how it felt being rocked. =) it hurts. ugh. the other strange thing about the concert had to do with the fact that erica and i arent really used to seeing shows with three bands. so when the second band came on we kinda thought they were phantom planet. we didn't know. we didnt know any of the songs anyway, but they were really good. turns out they are a band called OK Go. I liked them. The piano player was a doll. Apparently, they are supposed to be on Conan tonight, but Erica tells me that someone else is listed... so there might be problems. I do regret to inform you that while there were plenty of cute emo guys at the concert, Erica and I did not pick any up. I guess that's ok. I mean, we would have used them and then they would be all upset that we didnt call today. =) Actually, there were some really tight looking guys there. Shame, really. We did spot two I would have really liked to take home (Erica thought the thin one was too short and didnt want him) and they stared and smiled at us all through the concert, but alack and alas, they did not come over to talk to us. Their loss, right? Encht, whatever. Anyway, I totally forgot that I started the medical terminology class this morning. It was ugly. Very ugly. You know how when youre sitting in class and youre so tired and youre legs start aching and it makes you wanna cry. Yeah. That would have been me, this morning in my medical term class. I'm telling you, sometimes, I'm a mess. Carla, a girl I work with took me out for tea during lunch. It's all minty and weird. And now it's cold. =( It's supposed to help with my sore throat. Boo on allergies and drainage. Boo on post-concert scratchy throat from screaming. Erica agreed to go see Elvis Costello with me!!!!! Yay!!!! I love him. I would so have his babies. They'd be dorky and blind, but I'd love them anyway. Oh! And gotta give mad props to Lawrence for introducing us to Something Positive. Erica and I want a Choo-Choo Bear. Who wouldn't want a 25 year old, boneless, skinless cat?
